Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include working collaboratively with stakeholders and colleagues in University Risk Management and campus departments for the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support an overall University strategy to manage the cost of providing asset and income loss protection and risk financing; providing direction and services to control and minimize risk on the UC Denver campuses; coordinating loss control activities; advising campus administrators on the identification, evaluation and management of all relevant financial, fixed asset, operational and employment related risks associated with a major university campus; developing and delivering safety and loss control training programs; establishing and reviewing insurance requirements for contracting, special events, and other insurable risks; and participating in campus disaster planning and emergency preparedness activities. This position also supervises the Assistant Director of Risk Management at UC Denver.
