Welcome to Vail, Colorado
You may notice a bit of construction on your way to the Vail Cascade because there are many changes happening in the Vail Valley. Lionshead is undergoing a transformation that will include Arrabelle at Vail Square - a European-inspired plaza that will entice visitors with fabulous dining, shopping and entertainment venues.
Currently, Vail is comprised of four pedestrian villages that include Golden Peak, Vail Village, Lionshead Village and Cascade Village. Always abuzz with daytime and night attractions.
Vail Village is a central access point for all kinds of on-mountain activities. The enchanting pedestrian village hosts a variety of lodges, restaurants, galleries, boutiques and nightclubs that provide an opportunity to take a relaxing break from the rigor of outdoor activity.
Lionshead Village, another pedestrian mall located about 3/4 mile west of Vail Village, features shops, restaurants, special events and the Vail Valley's only gondola, the Eagle Bahn Gondola. The Eagle Bahn Gondola, accessible from Lionshead Village, is open in the summer to provide voyage up to Vail Mountain, offering picturesque scenery and breathtaking views.
Cascade Village is the western most access point to Vail Mountain and is located just about a half mile from Lionshead. It is home to Chair 20, the Cascade Village Lift. The free Town of Vail shuttle, which runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., is also available to access the nightlife of Vail Village.
