Happy New Year! As we begin another calendar year we should all be aimed at saving our organizations money by reducing the cost of running our respective public entities. We accomplish this by reducing the risk of operational loss.
It is time for the Legislature to be in session. During this session we must remain alert to any legislation that will change how state insurance programs work. Every change costs each of our organizations money to implement the change and administer the change. The typical targets of legislation are workers’ compensation and governmental immunity. Please follow these efforts and keep your organization informed of proposed legislation that can impact your programs.
We plan to meet for monthly meetings as usual this year. Much planning and preparation goes into preparing a meaningful program for all our members at each of these meetings. We are eager to provide programs that will help you do you jobs more efficiently. You can help us by providing topics you would like to include in our monthly meetings.
